KOINONIA GROUP: The purpose of Koinonia Groups are to involve every member
to a greater degree, address the growing need for volunteers and help
incorporate new members into the life of the church.
Koinonia Groups seek to
develop opportunity for fellowship, as well as diversify the areas of service.
MEN IN MISSION:
WELCA (Women of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America): Their
Purpose Statement is: As a community of women created in the image of God,
called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, We
commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts,
support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote
healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world. Check out

FIRST LUTHERAN QUILTERS: Between 12 and 18 women meet every Monday to
make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. These faithful women have been doing this
for many, many years. So far this year they have made 190 quilts. Some wonder if
they are pretty enough to send to LWR. But they found out that prettiness is not
what it is all about. Lutheran World Relief personnel tell us that many people
don't have a bed to put them on. Many don't even have a home, so they live under
their quilt or hang them up to keep out the sand storms, or use them to protect
their animal, their most valuable possession. Sometimes the quilts are never
cleaned.
Memorial Committee: This committee provides the ability to
manage gifts given in memory of a loved one.
Music Ministry: There are many opportunities for all ages
to be active in our worship service.
Property: This committee is truly a service related group of
committed people of FLC. In order to provide adequate repair, maintenance
and updating of our facility,
Stewardship:
We need to be
continually reminded of our need to share our time, gift and treasure for our
Spiritual growth. We also need to be reminded constantly that we are to be
good stewards of everything in our environment; earth- air, water, soil, land
and etc. This committee exists to service the church by lifting up our
need to be good stewards of God's great and awesome gifts to us and the world.
